Privacy
A blog that tests what websites do owes you a short, checkable account of what this one does. Here it is.
Nothing leaves the page
Loading a page here sends requests only to this site. The fonts, the icons, the pictures and the scripts are served from complianceblog.dev. There is no analytics script, no advertising and nothing embedded from elsewhere. You can confirm this with the network panel of your browser, which is how we check it ourselves.
No cookies
The site sets no cookies. The theme switch stores one word, light or dark, in your browser's local storage so that your choice survives a reload. That value stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.
What the server logs
The site is hosted on Render, which serves the files. Like any web server, it records each request it receives: the address it came from, the time, the page requested and the browser's identification string. We do not add anything to those logs, we do not analyse them, and we open them only to diagnose a fault with the site. Render's own handling of its logs is described in its privacy policy.
If you write to us
Mail to hello@complianceblog.dev reaches a mailbox the two authors read. We keep correspondence for as long as the conversation needs it, and a capture you send stays with the article it led to. We do not pass your address on, and we credit you only if you ask us to.
Links elsewhere
Articles link to regulators, courts, legislation, documentation and the tools under discussion. Following a link takes you to that site and its own terms. Links are plain links: nothing on this site records which ones you open.
Changes to this notice
If the site starts doing anything not described here, this page changes first, and the article that introduced the change says so. Last read through on 2 November 2026.
